EXPERIENCE DESIGN LEAD
A fresh rebranding and a new digital platform for MTV's mental health initiative.
For years, legacy networks, MTV and VH1, have been pivotal in spotlighting global mental health issues, emerging as a focal point where youth culture intersects with mental well-being. ViacomCBS (Paramount Global) partnered with Stink Studios to reimagine their Half of Us mental health initiative, transforming it into a dynamic and new digital resource hub for mental health resources.
For this project, I defined the strategy and user experience approach, conducting a thorough audit of the current site and extensive research for valuable insights. Streamlined 72 pages of content into a simplified, human-focused experience, facilitating stakeholder input through interviews and workshops. Developed comprehensive wireframes to guide design and development effectively.
Develop a resourceful Mental Health hub to help those seeking help and advice.
The Challenge
Mental Health is a continuum.
In the space of mental health, we all face moments seeking advice or help. To authentically capture the complexity and reality of this experience. Through research and gathering insights from Mental Health experts, we created an experience around four key objectives: help individuals understand their feelings, take meaningful action, support those assisting a struggling loved one, and provide immediate resources for SOS situations.
Actionable and relatable plans for individuals seeking help and advice.
The Approach
A guiding resource, directing those in need to expert help.
Upon entering the resource hub, individuals can choose from a range of feelings and experiences they are currently navigating. We've crafted specific action plans for each topic, featuring content curated by mental health experts and providing direct pathways to professional help.
A responsive resource that normalizes the conversation and experience around mental health, providing actionable resources for thousands.
